Quality Inspector Level 3

Our client in the Niagara region is looking to hire 2 Level 3 Quality Inspector’s to join their team.

Job Description

• Perform all duties of a QA Level 2 and prevent quality defects and promote quality work the first time by performing visual, Ultra Sonic, all aspects of NDT testing (certified) required by the company according to Level 3 UT capabilities (and all other NDT testing requirements)
• Performs all duties of a Quality lnspector Level 2.
• Provide product quality auditing and support
• Analyze process and product defect data, including root cause to determine corrective action.
• Provide work direction to Level 1 and Level 2 Quality Inspector
• Assist supervision in coordination and flow of Quality Department.
• May be required to attend operational production meetings.
• Able to work with little to no supervision
• Completes tasks and projects from start to finish in allotted time with high quality.
• Train new employees in areas such as appropriate inspection levels, specific techniques, how to identify quality issues, specific job tasks, etc.

• Advanced understanding of manufacturing coatings, welding and cutting, and assembly specifications.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required for this position
• Certified Level 3 UT through the NRCAN
• Completion of internal or external Level 3 MT, W, and PT training programs
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Quality lnspector Level 2 at DM1 or the equivalent
• Minimum 5 years knowledge of Quality techniques such as non-destructive testing.
• General knowledge and understanding of weld defects and causes of defects.
• Successful completion of internal Level 3 MT, VT, PT training programs or as required by the customer.
