Description
Working as part of the Organizational Development team and reporting to the Manager, Organizational Development, the Organizational Development Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering a wide range of organizational development services for TEIG senior leaders and employees. The solutions delivered will enhance individual, team, and organizational performance and will also strengthen leadership capabilities, impact workforce capacity, and support/shift organizational culture in achieving TEIG’s mission, vision and strategic goals.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Educate leaders on existing programs and services and their utilization, with a view to influencing behaviour to think and act in a different way.
- Provide OD consultation to the business to strengthen leadership capabilities, impact workforce capacity, and support/shift organizational culture.
- Design, implement, and deliver OD solutions that focus on people, processes, and planning in order to improve organizational performance.
- Conduct research into best practices and assess trends impacting organizational effectiveness.
- Work with lines of business to redesign their structures around strategic objectives.
- Work with lines of business in creating change management strategies and communication plans to support various initiatives.
- Utilize a variety of assessment and diagnostic tools to assist the business in identifying areas of opportunity based on a systems approach.
- Use diagnostic assessment tools to enhance organizational performance.
- Identify metrics that are critical to the successful delivery of OD services and measure performance against them.
- Partner with human resources leadership and colleagues to support and implement the people development strategy ensuring learning solutions are of the highest quality and support TEIG’s culture and values.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the design and delivery of leadership development initiatives.
- Participate in the creation and implementation of corporate social responsibility initiatives.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and sustainment of a corporate diversity program.
- Participate in the creation and implementation of a Corporate Balanced Scorecard.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology or Sociology or related discipline field.
- 5-10 years experience in a corporate Organizational Development role
- Experience in the Financial Services industry
- Experience in talent management and learning initiatives
- Highly skilled at coaching, facilitating and presenting
- Experience working with change management, performance management, and conflict management frameworks
- Experience in developing/implementing workplace diversity programs
- Focus on a business-centred approach to problem solving
- Ability to assess situations from a systems perspective or demonstrated ability to use a systems thinking approach to organizational development
- Experience with strategic planning
- Solid program management experience
