Description

Under the direction of the Executive Director, this (30hours per week) position is responsible for providing Data Entry and Administration Support for the Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank.
 
Supervision: Reports to the Executive Director
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Data entry for Emergency Food Program
  • Data entry for Co-op Food Program (new applications/dues/hours)
  • Maintains filing system for Emergency and Co-op Food Hamper Program
  • Generates Hunger Count report for Region, media, E.D. etc.,
  • Generates Emergency Food report for Salvation Army detailing Emergencies given out as well as Data Entry of Salvation Army Emergency Food list
  • Generates Regional Stats report and sends to the Regional Municipality of Waterloo
  • Preparation of pick up list for Food Bank and also Preston and Hespeler Off- Sites
  • Phone and front desk support and backup as required
  • Oversight of volunteers providing Data Entry Support
  • Records weight of Emergency/Co-op Hampers
  • Working with the Warehouse Distribution Co-ordinator, maintains Statistical collection and reports produced for Pounds In / Pounds Out
  • Working with Food Bank staff provides assistance at Food Drive time, or Special Event support i.e., Christmas
  • Provides general administrative support for Data Entry i.e.,  as faxing, photo copying, filing, as required
  • Maintains the security of confidential matters

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with staff
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills
 
  Working Conditions:
 
  • Exposed to weekly deadlines and frequent daily interruptions.
  • Deals regularly with participating members and people from the community whom are in different life situations.
  • On occasion may deal with upset and/or irate people in person or on the telephone
