The Ontario Clean Water Agency, an Agency to the Ministry of the Environment, seeks a self-motivated individual to join our team in maintaining SCADA systems including planning, coordinating, tracking, reporting, and resolving SCADA and other technical services issues in support of the Region of Waterloo wastewater operational and maintenance activities. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Qualifications:well developed project management, time management and organization skills; interpersonal skills; ability to prepare and provide written reports and presentations to internal/external clients; practical, theoretical and demonstrated capabilities in designing, developing and implementing SCADA/HMI/WMS applications, including process control and automation in the support of wastewater operations and maintenance; analytical, evaluative and problem-solving skills to assess client, process and control requirements; qualifications/experience in the development and delivery of technical plans for hardware/software selection and implementation; ability to prepare technical documents; experience in/knowledge of programming in Wonderware/ArchestraA, C/C++/Visual Basic, Allen-Bradley Control Logix PLC`s hardware and software, HMI software and other related applications; experience in/knowledge of SQL database administration, VPN technologies, OS installation/configuration, industrial local area networking design and implementation and wide area network communications to support the regional and agency infrastructure; thorough understanding of network/telecommunications environments, standards, operating systems, computer language, ladder logic and relational/document-based database management systems, including conformance to regional SCADA standards for process automation and instrumentation design standards (PAIDS); ability to monitor, review and troubleshoot from a remote location and provide off-site and local/field support; PC proficiency; experience with factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT); knowledge of/experience in contract administration and budget proposal/development; excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders; membership and active participation in ISA (International Society of Automation), IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and OWWA (Ontario Water Works Association); valid driver`s licence. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
