Tirecraft provides automotive solutions for vehicles and equipment. From tires to automotive repairs, we provide a level of service geared to exceed the expectations of our customers.  Currently, we are seeking a results drive, self-motivated individual who is interested in analyzing and reshaping Inventory Control for the tire management environment of the Tirecraft Ontario locations.  This position will work out of the head office location in Burgessville, Ontario.

Inventory Control Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for an inventory management professional that is seeking an opportunity which will allow you to put your mark on the business through the development and implementation of proven continuous improvement strategies.  Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for the management of costs, price, electronic management of inventory items, processes and procedures associated with the buying, selling and movement of inventory.  In addition, you will be responsible for the ongoing monitoring of the aged and obsolescence of all inventories.  This includes actions to deal with cost modification to address obsolescence, action plans to eliminate such inventories and the prevention of excess purchasing in an effort to maximize inventory turn over.  Your development and implementation of processes and procedure will be vital to ensure the long-term financial viability of the organization.

 

Attributes we seek:

§  CGA or CMA designation with solid responsibilities for inventory management (retail an asset)

§  Understanding of the automotive parts retail and/or commercial transportation sectors an asset

§  Hands on project style, with a proven track record of not being afraid to get in the trenches to understand and implement improvements to ensure sustainable business growth

§  Excellent analytical and computer skills (MS Functions)

§  Exposure to point of sale systems – Costar an asset

§  Demonstrated leadership and experience in project management.

§  Flexible to provide a wide range of support activities in a team environment.

§  Must be willing to bring new ideas to the job by utilizing current levels of information technology.
