Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum requirement of five years experience in CNC and robotic repair/ programming
  • Knowledge of advanced PLC programming including Allan Bradley ControlLogix/SLC/PLC-5, Siemens S7, Fanuc PMC
  • Knowledge of robot systems (ABB, Motoman)
  • Electronics Technician/Technologist Certificate, Electrician Qualification or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of networking (Ethernet connections, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet and DH+)
  • Understanding of pneumatic/hydraulic systems (FESTO CPX/VMPA is an asset)
  • Understanding of electrical / electronic schematic diagrams and blueprints
  • Possess the manual dexterity to carry out physical repairs
  • Good communications skills
  • Must have good problem solving skills
  • Open to new ideas and methodologies
  • Willing to work overtime
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts
  • Commitment of loyalty towards the Company and their associates
  • Must have own tools to effectively repair the equipment assigned

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify & lead continuous improvement activities
  • Troubleshoot and repair automation and control equipment
  • Implementing and designing PLC, FTView SE programs
  • Machine installing as required
  • Work effectively with co-workers and management through effective communication
  • Be co-operative in dealing with fellow employees
  • Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and regulations
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
